Static batches
A static batch is a fixed set of documents selected using user‑defined criteria. Static batches do not change after they are created. Use a static batch when you need:- A controlled, predictable set of documents based on search filters
- A fixed number of documents sampled at creation
- The ability to distribute specific documents to specific reviewers
- Batch contents that remain unchanged throughout the review
Dynamic batches
A dynamic batch is an active learning batch whose size can grow continuously as reviewers request more documents to be labeled. Dynamic batches automatically sample new documents for review using an active learning algorithm. Use a dynamic batch when you need:- The system to continually sample and deliver the next most informative documents
- Support for model‑assisted or iterative learning workflows
- A batch that expands as additional documents become relevant for review
