A Review Run is an Early Case Strategy (ECS) tool that analyzes a document collection before first-pass review begins. Review Runs use generative AI and classification models that you can configure to align with your strategy, allowing documents to be evaluated against the strategic criteria defined for a matter. By applying strategy-driven analysis across the entire document collection, Review Runs help you identify information that may support or challenge your case strategy before review is underway.

How Review Runs use your strategy

A Review Run does not contain a built-in legal strategy. Instead, a Review Run applies your defined legal strategy across a document collection. When you create a Review Run, you have options to configure:
  • A text generation model that generates document narratives, explanations, and supporting analysis aligned to your strategy.
  • A text classification model that tags documents according to your strategy criteria.
The models work either stand-alone or together to evaluate documents using the strategic definitions established for the matter.

Review Runs results

Review Runs return analysis in a document-level results set that helps you prioritize review activities. Results can include:
  • Document narratives
  • Document tags
  • Supporting quotations
  • Review recommendations
  • Triage indicators for prioritization
You can use these results to identify documents that require additional analysis or review.
