When you work in a Project in Epiq AI, you upload data at the Collection level. Uploading data adds or updates documents, metadata, or annotations so they can be processed and used throughout the platform. This topic explains the types of data you can upload and how each upload option behaves.

What you can upload

You can upload three kinds of data to a Collection:
  • Metadata. Descriptive information associated with documents, such as fields used for filtering, review, or analysis.
  • Documents. Files that Epiq AI processes to extract text, metadata, and, when applicable, audio transcripts.
  • Annotations. Coding or review-related information associated with documents, such as tags or decisions applied during review.
Each type supports different upload behaviors.
