You can narrow the focus of a prompt by defining the data source, including the relevant collections. You can also filter the data to further refine the data source. Refining the scope of the data helps Ask AI retrieve more precise context and improves the relevance of responses, especially in large document sets. To define sources in a conversation:
  1. At the bottom of the Chat page, in the prompt box, select Sources .
  2. In the Sources window, in the Select collections dropdown, choose one or more collections to include. By default, all collections are included.
  3. Perform the following steps to filter the data as needed.
    1. Under Search Filters, select Add filter.
    2. In the new filter field, select Edit .
    3. Use the Field and Operator dropdowns to define your filter criteria. Note: Available fields are specific to your selected project.
  4. To save the data source, select Save. Note: The Sources icon turns blue when sources are defined for the conversation.
  5. Enter your prompt in the prompt box and press Enter.
Result: A project collection label appears below your prompt, indicating that you have defined sources for the conversation. Select the label to view any applied filters.
