This release contains updates and improvements to Epiq AI Discovery Assistant. The following notes highlight new enhancements to Epiq AI Discovery Assistant and provide a list of bugs addressed in this release.

Release Highlights

Release 1.2.3 contains the following features, as well as additional enhancements listed in this document. The following sections contain details about these features and enhancements.
  • Administration. Added the ability for project administrators to access user chat history, including questions and answers, to provide an auditable record of AI Chat conversations for highly sensitive projects with locked-down chat history.
  • AI Chat. Added the ability to copy a list of document IDs from a conversation.
  • Model Predictions. Export model predictions from previous model versions.

Enhancements in Release 1.2.3

This release contains the following enhancements and updates.

AI Chat

Chat prompt box updates

Made the following changes to the prompt box on the AI Chat page to enhance the user experience. (650, 611)
  • Added a disclaimer noting that the AI may occasionally produce incorrect or incomplete responses. Users are encouraged to fact-check conversations.
  • Removed the external Bing search option. AI Chat generates responses exclusively from designated project documents.

Chat download updates

Added the ability to download a chat message, including the prompt, from the quick menu. (293) Added the ability to download all cited document IDs from a chat response into CSV format from the quick menu. This allows you to easily locate the documents in your eDiscovery platform. Chat share update

Added the ability to share a conversation with other Epiq AI Discovery Assistant team members. (78, 649) Share a chat conversation

Chat user experience updates

Updated the label on the Epiq AI Discovery Assistant home page to reflect the current feature name. The button now reads AI Chat instead of AI Assistant. (589) Updated icons and added hover text to the quick menu to clearly identify actions, improving user experience. (20, 44)

Administration

User experience update

Introduced a new environment setting to detect user inactivity based on mouse movement. This enhancement allows the system to more accurately determine when a user is inactive, improving session management and the user experience. (691)

User history update

Added the ability to provide a Chat usage report, including questions and answers. This supports the need to provide an auditable record of user chat interactions for highly sensitive projects. To request a Chat usage report, contact your Epiq Client Success Manager. (397)

Collections

Models

Added the “Exclude train dataset” field in Model settings to exclude a subset of data from model training. This enhancement provides greater flexibility when configuring model behavior. (530)
