Once you have uploaded your Libraries and created a Privilege workflow from a template, you are ready to configure and run your Privilege workflow. To configure and run a Privilege workflow, complete the following procedure.
  1. In the Project space menu, select Workflows.
  2. Select your Privilege Workflow.
  3. Select the Configuration tab and review each of the following components.
This component extracts targeted metadata from your source documents, including participants from metadata and nested email headers.
  1. Select Metadata Extraction.
  2. Review the table to confirm default extraction fields.
  3. Add new fields or composite fields as needed for your matter.
  4. Optional. Click Run Step to run this component individually, or wait to deploy the full workflow after you configure all components.
  5. Select the back arrow to return to the Configuration tab.
This component standardizes participant and organization names, consolidating name variations into Actor (Person) and Domain (Organization) entities. It takes participants and organizations from the Metadata Extraction component and normalizes their names to standard formats.
  1. Select Name Normalization.
  2. Review the table to confirm default output fields for Actors and Domains.
  3. Confirm the Input fields from the Metadata Extraction component.
  4. Add a field or a composite field as needed for your matter.
  5. Optional. Click Run Step to run this component individually, or wait to deploy the full workflow after you configure all components.
  6. Select the back arrow to return to the Configuration tab.
This component applies normalized metadata and entity records to documents in the workflow. It is primarily a process component rather than one that needs configuration. Any changes must be made in the upstream Metadata Extraction or Name Normalization components.
  1. Select Metadata Normalization.
  2. Review the fields.
  3. Optional. Click Run Step to run this component individually, or wait to deploy the full workflow after you configure all components.
  4. Select the back arrow to return to the Configuration tab.
This component assigns legal roles to identified Actors and Domains based on their function in the matter.
  1. Select Entity Labeling.
  2. Select Persons and do the following:
    1. Review the instructions.
    2. Edit the instructions and tags as needed for your matter.
    3. Select General Instructions and review the instruction and tag dependencies. Edit as needed for your matter.
  3. Select Organizations and do the following:
    1. Review the instructions.
    2. Edit the instructions and tags as needed for your matter.
    3. Select General Instructions and review the instruction and tag dependencies. Edit as needed for your matter.
  4. Optional. Click Run Step to run this component individually, or wait to deploy the full workflow after you configure all components.
  5. Select the back arrow to return to the Configuration tab.

  2. Review the instructions.
  3. Edit the instructions and associated tags as needed for your matter.
  4. Select General Instructions and review the instruction and tag dependencies. Edit as needed for your matter.
  5. Select Tags and update tags and tag groups as needed.
  6. Select Model and do the following:
    1. Update model settings as needed.
    2. Select Metrics.
    3. Modify error categories as desired and select Update Categories.
    4. Select Update.
  7. Optional. Click Run Step to run this component individually, or wait to deploy the full workflow after you configure all components.
  8. Select the back arrow to return to the Configuration tab.
This component generates privilege log descriptions using text generation models.
  1. Select Privilege Log Generation.
  2. Review the instructions.
  3. Edit the instructions as needed for your matter.
  4. Select General Instructions and review the instruction and tag dependencies. Edit as needed for your matter.
  5. Select Metrics.
  6. Modify error categories as desired and select Update Categories.
  7. Optional. Click Run Step to run this component individually, or wait to deploy the full workflow after you configure all components.
  8. Select the back arrow to return to the Configuration tab.
  1. Select Deploy Workflow to run all components in order.
