# Add a tag

To add a tag, you must have a tag group.

To add a tag to a tag group, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Settings**.
2. Select **Tags**.
3. Select your **Tagging Panel** from the dropdown.
4. Locate the **Tag Group** where you want to add a tag and select **New tag**.
5. In the **New Tag** box, do the following:
   1. Type a name.
   2. Type a description.
   3. Select a color for the tag.
   4. Select the value type.
   5. Select the checkbox to make the tag visible.
   6. Click **Create**.

Add as many tags as needed for your matter.
