# Add a user to a project

You can add a user to a project and assign a role from the Project space. The user must have an active Epiq AI user account.

To add a user to a project, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Settings**.
2. Select **Team**.
3. Select **Add User**.
4. Select the user name and role.
5. Click **Add**.
