# Add a person or organization

You can add known people and organizations at the project level to support tagging and identification within project documents.

To add a person or organization to a project, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Knowledge**.
2. On the **Knowledge** page, select the tabs to switch between **Persons** and **Organizations**.
3. To add a new person, select **New Person** and either **Create new person** or **Import persons from a CSV**.
   1. **Create new person**: Populate the available fields and click **Create**.
   2. **Import from CSV**: Choose whether to overlay or append existing persons, add your CSV file, and select **Import**.
4. To add a new organization, select New Organization and either **Create new organization** or **Import organizations from a CSV**.
   1. **Create new organization**: Populate the available fields and click **Create**.
   2. **Import from CSV**: Choose whether to overlay or append existing organizations, add your CSV file, and select **Import**.

After you add a person or organization, it appears in the Knowledge layer for use in project tagging.
