# Create a static review batch

A static review batch lets you randomly sample documents from a dataset or list of Doc IDs. Static batches have fixed sizes.

To create a static review batch, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Collections**.
2. Select a collection.
3. Select **Review** > **Review Batches**.
4. Select **Create Review Batch** > **Static batch**.
5. Configure the batch using the following fields:
   1. Enter a **Name**.
   2. Type a **Description**.
   3. Select a **Dataset**.
   4. Choose whether to include family members.
   5. Enter the **Batch size**.
   6. Enter the **Assignment batch size**.
   7. Enter the **Number of overlapping documents**.
   8. Enter the **Number of overlapping annotators**.
   9. Choose whether to review existing tags.
   10. Select the **Reviewers**.
6. Click **Create**.
