# Export a protocol

You can export existing Review and Search protocols in your project to review or edit locally. 

To export a protocol, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Collections**.
2. Select a collection.
3. Select **Protocols** and choose **Review Protocols** or **Search Protocols**.
4. Select the checkbox on the protocol row or rows you want to export.
5. On the item selection pop-up, click **Export**.
