# Delete a protocol version

Every time you edit a Review or Search protocol in Epiq AI, a new version is kept in the History. You can delete specific versions of a protocol.

  **Warning**: Deleting a collection permanently removes its documents, tags, and configurations. This action cannot be undone.

To delete a protocol version, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Collections**.
2. Select a collection.
3. Select **Protocols** and choose **Review Protocols** or **Search Protocols**.
4. Select the protocol row.
5. On the protocol's page, review the versions listed under **History** and find the one you want to delete.
6. Hover over the version details and click **X**.
7. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
