# Models

Epiq AI lets you create models and apply them to your data to support different analysis and automation scenarios. Each model type is designed for a specific kind of task, such as categorizing content or generating text.

### Supported model types

Epiq AI currently supports the following model types.

* **Text classification.** Classifies text into predefined categories.
* **Image classification.** Classifies images into predefined categories.
* **Information extraction.** Extracts structured information from unstructured content.
* **Text generation.** Generates new text based on input prompts or source content.
* **Predictive coding.** Uses machine learning to assist with document review and prioritization.

### When to use different model types

Choose a model type based on what you want to do with your data:

* Use **classification models** to label or organize content.
* Use **information extraction** to turn unstructured data into structured outputs.
* Use **text generation** to create or transform written content.
* Use **predictive coding** for review and prioritization workflows.
