# Edit a model instruction

If you have added instructions for your model, you can edit them as needed.

To edit a model instruction, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Collections**.
2. Select a collection.
3. Select **Models**.
4. Select the model you want to train and click **Instructions**.
5. If you want to preserve a version of your model instructions prior to your change, in the **Select a version** dropdown, select **Create new version** and **Confirm**.
6. Make your changes to the instruction and select **Save**.
7. Select **Run** > **Train** to re-train the model with the updated instruction.
