# Create a dataset from search filters

You can create a dataset by applying a set of search filters to the documents in your collection. This is similar to the search filters in the document search page.

To create a dataset from search filters, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Collections**.
2. Select a collection.
3. Select **Datasets**.
4. Select **Create new dataset** > **From search filters**.
5. Configure the dataset using the following fields:
   1. Enter a **Dataset Name**.
   2. Type a **Description**.
   3. Choose whether to include family members.
   4. Select **Add Filter Group** and then **Add Filter**. 
   5. In the new filter row, click **Edit** and select the Field, Operator, and Value you want to create your dataset.
   6. Click the checkmark.
   7. Add more filters or filter groups as needed for your dataset.
6. Click **Create**.
