# Upload native documents

Epiq AI can process files in their native forms, extract text and metadata, and generate PDFs for document annotations, redaction, and production exports. 

To upload native documents, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Collections**.
2. Select a collection.
3. Select **Data uploads**.
4. Select **Create an upload**.
5. Select **Documents** > **Native documents**.
6. Type and **Upload Name** and select the **Date Format**, then select **Next**.
7. Choose the processing options:
   * **Text extraction**
   * **Metadata extraction**
   * **Audio transcription**
8. Add your files using one of these options:
   * Drag and drop a folder of files.
   * Upload a ZIP or multipart ZIP file.
   * Select a cloud storage location. Cloud storage must be added at the account level in Admin settings to be available here.
     * Enter the storage URL and select **Validate URL**.
     * If your cloud storage requires passwords for decryption, select **Has passwords** and type them in the text box, one per line.
9. Select **Upload**.
