# Add a tag group in Collection Settings

Once you create a tagging panel, the next step is to add a tag group. You can create tag groups at either the Collection level or the Project level. Tag groups are available across the entire Project, even when created at the Collection level.

To add a tag group to a tagging panel, complete the following procedure.

1. In the **Project space** menu, select **Collections**.
2. Select a collection.
3. Select **Settings**.
4. Select **Tags**.
5. Select your **Tagging Panel** from the dropdown.
6. Click **New tag group**.
7. In the New **Tag Group** box, do the following:
   1. Type a name.
   2. Type a description.
   3. Select the checkbox for the options you want:
      * Mutual Exclusive
      * Visible
      * Required
   4. Click **Create**.
