# Add a chat response to a draft

You can add chat responses directly to a draft document in AI Chat with a single click. This helps streamline the process of incorporating relevant information into your work. You can export the draft document or save and refer to it later in AI Chat.

To add a chat response to a draft:

1. On the Chat page, hover above the prompt box to reveal the actions menu.
2. Click **Add to draft**.

**Result:** A new draft opens from the right panel that includes your chat response.
